Christian Wright Update

Team Ex Drinks Professional Gravity Mountain Bike Rider Christian Wright was recently injured at the UCI World Cup Downhill in Champery, Switzerland. After conquering the most challenging sections of the extremely difficult downhill course in Champery, Wright went down on one of the final jumps during a practice run last Thursday. Wright was life flighted from the course by a Swiss helicopter rescue team, and taken to two separate hospitals where he underwent emergency surgery to stop his internal bleeding. Wright celebrated his 17th birthday two days later, while recovering in CHUV hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Wright is extremely tough, and is already looking forward to his next downhill event, as he hopes to be back in action by the UCI World Championships at Mount St. Anne. We are still awaiting the final determination from doctors about when Wright will be ready to return to racing, but his progress thus far has been incredible. Many thanks go out to the efforts of the Swiss medical community who showed amazing resolve and expertise. Also, many thanks to the overwhelming support that has been displayed for Christian and the entire Wright family.
