Angel Fire Resort Sets Up Fund to Aid Fire Season

ANGEL FIRE, NM – (May 13, 2013) – With a persistent drought and another dangerous fire season expected across northern New Mexico, Angel Fire Resort is taking steps to help firefighters.  Angel Fire Resort, located in the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico, is gearing up to help by raising money for a Northern New Mexico Firefighter Fund.

The fund, created by the resort, will be used to help northern New Mexico firefighters combat potential forest fires. The resort will donate 10% of sales from their opening weekend activities, slated for this weekend, May 17 – 19. The resort will donate funds from activities including mountain biking, golfing, fishing, boating, ziplining, as well as, 10% from all chairlift tickets purchased.

“This drought season is a scary one, especially for all of us in the higher elevation areas,” explains Jamie Seifert, mountain operations manager, Angel Fire Resort. “We’re all in this together and we want to do what we can here at Angel Fire Resort to provide as many resources as possible for firefighters.”

Angel Fire Resort will open its full resort Friday, May 17.
